Historic Homes Need A Historic Color Palette. Breathing New Life into The James A. Blakeney Home

I LOVE historic homes and South Charlotte is lucky to have this one. I used to live in a historic home when I grew up in Port Jefferson, Long Island. Keeping the color palette specific to the age of the home is key!

The Blakeney House, a Charlotte Landmark home in Charlotte, will be for sale soon and I KNOW it will go fast.  Just a word of advice for the new homeowner - I don't know what the inside of this home looks like but if you need help choosing a color palette for is please contact me.

I lived in the Thompson House in lower Port Jefferson and loved the very specific colors that house need to come alive. You can really breath life into a historic home and honor it with the respect it deserves - yes I feel that strongly about it!

I had the opportunity to live in both cookie cutter homes and several older homes so I know how these homes need to be handled. As far at the James A. Blakeney home, I can't wait to schedule a visit to see the inside of it.
