Love meeting the locals. Charles Luck Stone • Pineville. NC

Enjoyed meeting Heather Reid this past Friday who works at Charles Luck Stone in Pineville, NC. The products in this studio are very impressive - and it takes a lot to impress me! I've see so many natural stones in every shape and form when I worked in Pittsburgh as an Interior Designer (many, many quarries there) but this studio tops the cake.

Charles Luck just had beautiful, high quality and very unique pieces - I was touching everything! There studio was designed just beautifully so that it represents just about all the products they offer. I took some pictures of the products that really caught my eye. Aren't they beautiful?

Classic products such as this marble bowl. So smooth and simple yet extremely beautiful.

Torre tables in Nero Marquina marble.

Pave seating - a marble based paired with a natural wood “pebble seating”. This would be a must have in my home. I love when objects that are usually seen small are designed over scale. Just love this!

Simple and elegant way to dress up any shelving featuring stones in a decorative container. Here you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a very rich look when decorating your home.

Which one would you choose?

Right? I was goose pimpley when I saw these!

White Carrara marble sink and Roman Road flooring in copper, tan and gray quartz. Here's a better picture of the flooring.

Honey Onyx wall in the washroom. How beautiful is this?

This is a bit funny. Heather was kind enough to give me a tour of the studio but having a background in designing drapery, I was asking her questions about the lining of the panels (sorry Heather, I get caught up sometimes).

One of my major peeves about custom drapery is the lining. I cannot stand white or cream linings!!! And you see it ALL the time! Many HOA's won't even allow custom drapery in homes (I know that sounds very “Big Brother”) because you can see 'white' from the street side - which is just the lining. Think about it, you'll have beautifully designed drapery from the inside of your home but god awful white fabric from the outside looking in. My point? These velvet panels (and yes they felt wonderful) were lined with the SAME color as the fabric. Kudos to the Designer for actually taking color into consideration when designing these drapery panels and yes - fabulous color!!!

Ok, back to the stone …

Teasers of fashion and home design.

… and just two lovely ladies - by the beautifully detailed limestone of course!
