Seeing eye to eye … on color

Look me in the eye and tell me you don't just LOVE these colors!
Seeing eye-to-eye is no easy feat.

If you need to choose a color for one room in your house, try this. Look around and notice the artwork you have hanging on the walls. Or even a photograph that you like. Take that picture and use it as an inspiration for a new color scheme. It's that simple!

It's interesting, these soft blue and greens have a very calming effect. Isn't it a coincidence that the ocean has these colors in it and he finds himself 'relaxing' as he and his friend share some R&R?

If you want this look in your home, try Rain and Coastal Plain by Sherwin Williams.

  1. I need to use your techniques to figure out which shade of blue to paint my bathroom. I pulled down the wallpaper...a long time ago and haven't been able to decide what color to paint. It looks so much better without the wallpaper that I've been able to live with it longer than I thought I would! lol ♥

So true, Donna. Scientific studies have arrived that blues release tranquilizing hormones from your pituitary gland. How's that Mr. Pelican? Man and Pelican are on a "mind buzz"

I wish I could come to your home in NC to show you just how easy it is! You're in the mountains? Sounds beautiful. For a quick tip on how to do this, you can visit my debut blog on Sensational Color for Your Home (http://www.sensationalcolor.com/colorforyourhome/) It's as simple as taking a photograph that has a color you love and taking it to the paint store of your choice to match it up.
