Bedroom flooring question

Hi Donna! I live in Missouri. I would love to bring up my carpet in the bedroom and put down hardwoods or some other flooring. Is there a new trend in floors that looks smashing in bedrooms that are not hardwoods? Our bedroom is fairly large with lots of windows. thanks!  I am not traditional.

Debbie, I have the perfect flooring suggestion for you! Cork, as in wine bottle corks. With the same concept, cork flooring is soft, easy to install and amazingly beautiful. It comes is various patterns and a few stains as well. I have it in my house and love it. If I had my choice, I would have it throughout my entire home. The only place you cannot put cork is in the bathroom. Keep in mind that it is still a wood and will warp when wet. You can see samples of cork in your local Lowes home improvement store. That is where I bought mine. Good luck, I know you'll love it.
