The color of Huckapoo - warning, it's NOT pretty

Ok, who remembers the Huckapoo shirts of the 70's? Too funny! For those of you who didn't have the pleasure, I'll explain. They were long sleeved, polyester button down shirts that just about everyone had, if you were “stylish”. It would be very typical to see them in wild florals to crazy geometric shapes or just a goofy scenery of some type.

Some had a Hawaiian flair.

Some thought they had a Hawaiian flair

Some thought they looked good

Here is a good example of a nice color scheme with a bad pattern. Perhaps if this shirt was gray with a very thin gold stripe it wouldn't be too bad.

I actually don't mind this color scheme too much but still the pattern is, well, Huckapoo. It's funny. I can remember the shirt I had. It was some type of Southwestern theme with terra cotta and cream color. Terra cotta and cinnamon are still colors I like today!

  1. Donna, funny! Brings back memories of the leisure suits, in those outrageous colors and polyester!

  2. My sister and I had several of these shirts. Awful to wear over 70 degrees.
