28277 Is the Zip Code in Charlotte That People Love

Where's the best zip code to live in Charlotte? 28277 Ballantyne.

Ballantyne is an upscale neighborhood in the city of Charlotte and is now becoming the zip code that people want to live in. Thinking about moving to the Charlotte area? Seriously consider the Ballantyne area for the best location, housing and schools.

When you read in the papers that Ballantyne is the second most popular “move in zip code in the country” not the city but the COUNTRY than that is the place you need to be.

Ballantyne

You ask any Charlotte based Realtor and they tell you that not only is location a key factor when choosing a new home but other amenities factor in high as well.

Realtor Lisa Archer, CEO of Live, Love Charlotte says,

“ With a constant influx of thriving businesses in South Charlotte, people are looking to live in this area and Ballantyne is the perfect zip code. Community involvement schools, recreation, dining and beautiful homes for both families and business people make this zip code very desirable.”

I too live in South Charlotte, just a few miles from Ballantyne and I can tell you that yes, it is a great place to live and work. I have many clients in this area where the homes are big,  the restaurants are wonderful and it's really an easy commute to Charlotte if you work uptown.

What do I like most about Ballantyne? Well the homes of course but not for the reason you may think. I'm not in the market to buy a home but I love peeking at the homes for sale on the all the real estates websites to check out what colors are in the homes. Everyone looks at the homes for sale right? I probably spend a little too much time doing that but I love the the large homes with open floor plans and looking at all the decor and furnishings.

Oh this home will sell fast! Look at this kitchen! Ok little excited here because it's staged so beautifully. The potential new homeowner can just walk in this kitchen and start cooking away - no repainting needed.

See the red columns? Excellent, excellent idea and this is exactly what I have in my home. The walls have a tad more color of course but adding color to columns is a great way to accentuate the architectural features of the home without a large commintment to color.

Notice the gray walls? Hot trend right there my friends and it's a perfect color to base all your decor around. Don't like the red columns? You can grab just one gallon of paint in the color of your choice and change it out seasonally if you want too - it's that easy! Again, great place for an accent feature.

See the flooring? Another fantastic feature in this home that is a popular choice now, darker flooring. Gone are the days of the dreaded orange flooring and cabinets. People are changing to darker stains and it's really a great look for these homes, most of which are open floor plans.

Which brings me the point of this post. If you've just purchased a home in Ballantyne and would like to update or change the color palette, contact me here and I'll be glad to help you! It's what I do :-)
