Property Values Just Went Up In Lawson, Waxhaw NC

The Lawson subdivision in Waxhaw has got to be the best place to live in right now. The homes are beautiful, it's centrally located in Waxhaw and more importantly if you have kids, it's located right across the street from Cuthbertson Middle School and Cuthbertson High School. You lucky dogs! Your property values just rose by 20% in my opinion.

Why did property values just rise for Lawson? Because of the school reassignments in Waxhaw. What a mess! Luckily for the people in Lawson, they are where they need to be to keep their kids in a great school.

On the flip side of this, the people who are looking to downsize in Lawson, NOW is a good time to sell! There are people who will be paying top dollar to get in Lawson. I'm not making this up, I heard it in my community and I live in Wesley Chapel where our children now will NOT be going to Cuthbertson. Luckily for me, my kids are now in college and I don't have to worry about schlepping them into another school miles a way when we live 4.4 miles from Cuthbertson. As far as my property values, that is a concern but again, my family is sitting tight for 10 years until our retirement. Hopefully, more schools will be build and this situation will have all worked out for the better.

Anyway, getting back to a point I'm trying to make. If you live in Lawson and you even have the slightest thought about moving, now is the the time and I bet you'll get your asking price. Now this is just my opinion so I didn't read any reports or go to any rallys about this I'm just putting 2+2 together.

If you plan on moving you may want to:

• Neutralize the color palette in your home to make it more sellable
• Get an updated color in your home if you still for some reason have Contractors Beige on your walls.
• Start your Spring cleaning early
• Find a Real Estate Agent such as Tom Dwyer who lives in Lawson and who would have your best interest in mind to help you prepare to sell.
• Hire a Color Expert, that would be me, who can help you with the colors for your home and who knows what colors sell.
