I have very colorful artwork. What paint color should I use?

What came first, the chicken or the egg? In other words, what should come first? Painting your room or choosing your artwork?

If you have very colorful artwork, let's say this pretty piece from Rosann Caputo, what color would you choose to paint your room?

There really are several many color combinations that you can use to coordinate with this art but I think the key word here is “coordinate” and not be match-matchy.

I would certainly pickup on the ever so popular gray but not bring in anymore blue. Pull out the purple but turn it more toward burgundy as an accent. Try these colors -

Wow! Thank you for the feature of "Springtime" in your blog. I also love the color choices you suggested to go with it.

    Deeply honored.
