Did you ever do one of those ink splat tests where someone shows you a blob of ink and you have to say the first thing that comes to your mind in 2 seconds or less? Wouldn't it be nice to choose color that way? Stop over thinking your color choices and just pick the colors that YOU love for your home and don't worry what everyone else thinks about it.
