Are we still talking about orange?
Yes, just a little.
For those of you who jumped into the Tangerine Tango band wagon, how's that working for you? Do you still love it or do you find you can't settle your room decor? Do have have clashing colors in your room now? What to do, what to do?
So it's been a while since Tangerine Tango has come out and I'm curious to know how everyone likes it. This is what happens when a trendy color comes out. Jump on the new color before thinking how it's going to look in the home.
Some people chose orange in small doses like pillows, lamps etc. which is fine but what about the people who chose the orange sofa or wall color? As fun as it is to incorporate a trend into your home, is it really something you should do?
Well like you've heard me say before, yes and no. I'm all for bringing new colors into the home but I just get so nervous for people. Do you really want an orange wall or an orange kitchen countertop? Part of my is screaming YES but in reality, and I know my clients homes VERY well here in South Charlotte, this is really not a wise choice.
So many factors need to be considered when choosing such a boisterous hue and I'll save that for another post. What I will do today is mention a few wall colors that will help quite down your room just in case it's dancing around a bit too much with all that “Tango” in it. Here's what you can do.
I have an orange sofa. What wall color can I have that will match it?
There are several colors you can use for your home to quiet it down a bit. Here's some “neutrals” that will be a nice but not boring, backdrop to your happy hue.
As you can see these are all Benjamin Moore colors and the first three are from the Color Stories Collection. It you need help choosing color for your home, contact me, I'd love to help otherwise, try some of these colors I've mentioned. They'll be beautiful!
I haven't yet seen Color Stories in Nashville, but Gray Cashmere is one of my favorites right now!
