Color Stories will make you feel good! It's Clinical Color!

Need color for a doctors office?
Well I have some great ideas for you!

I just read an article in Stir Magazine called “The Colors of Wellness”. It goes on talking about the colors of doctors offices, hospitals, dentist offices etc. and how they are typically blue and green - you know, because of the “calming effect” it has on us. I understand that blues and greens do make us feel this way but can we please start breaking out of the norm?

It has gotten to the point that when I walk into a new medical office I say to myself “Let me guess, will it be blue, green or a super boring beige in here today?” How about using colors that lift our spirits and make us happy instead of colors that relax us? I'd rather see happy color combinations, unique and uplifting then the typical, so very bland color schemes that all the doctors offices have.

Wouldn't you love to see these two colors? I know what you're thinking - peach and sea foam are so very 80's - so what? These are two beautiful hues from Color Stories and I think it would be refreshing and welcoming to see.

For a Pediatrician:

For a Women's Doctor's office:

A Dentist's office

Or if you absolutely have to do beige and green,
make it a GOOD beige and green for the waiting room with:

Let's break out of the stereotypical color choices for medical offices and make it a pleasant experience. Enjoy the color in the room and I can guarantee that if you see any of these Color Stories hues in your doctors office, it will be a pleasant visit!

  1. I remember when all the colors in doctors' offices used to be that sickly baby blue. I recently went into an office that obviously hadn't been updated in a while and it still had that same color! It just reminded me of how much I hate it! These are much better, at least I don't feel like I'm in 1981!
