Dining Room Colors. What are your options?

It's a great time of year to paint your home. You can open the windows to let fresh air in, the temperatures are just right and you're inspired by all the beauty nature has to offer until … you actually have to choose colors for your home.

You come to a screeching stop because you have no idea what color to put in your home!

Do I choose a trendy color?

I'll just pick a beige and be safe.

It's a dining room, I'll just make it red like everyone else!

By now panic has set in. You scour Google to look at all the color trends from fashion to the popular scary pink color that you see all over the place.

Your dining room can look like this but you have to choose your colors carefully. Not only do the colors have to coordinate with each other but they will have to match the surrounding rooms as well.

If you choose this gray and yellow color scheme for you dining room, what color will you choose for your kitchen? Another gray? Maybe yes, maybe no. There is so much to consider when choosing color for your home.

Choose a unique color scheme. Don't fall into the “red dining room trap”. Dining rooms don't have to be red! Think new colors, but not too trendy. Think fun colors that nobody else has. But also think how these colors will get along with the other colors in your home.
