Irish I Could Eat These Colors!

What's the best thing about being a Color Specialist in Charlotte? Well blogging about color schemes of course but it's an extra bonus if it's a delicious color scheme.

Featuring in this Irish post is a Color Recipe© for a Corn Beef Dinner, a very typical Irish dinner that many of us will be enjoying on the up and coming St. Patrick's Day.

The only color I would leave out is perhaps the orange unless you kept it very muted like this swatch, and be careful not to put it too close to the pink unless it's for a girls room.

Another option you can use instead of introducing another wall color is to bring in a terra cotta accessory such as these Turkish Ceramics from Pottery Barn.

Now the very typical beverage that goes with this delicious Color Recipe is a Guinness. Even if your Irish just for day, this beer is not only delicious but it's color will be amazing with the Corn Beef Color Recipe.

I wouldn't use Guinness as a wall color but certainly as an accent color either in your blinds, furniture or flooring. There will be huge contrast between the light palette of the Corn Beef and this dark brown Guinness.

One of my absolute favorite hardwood floor options is BR111. In this photo you can see a hand scraped,  dark espresso, solid wood floor. Love - love - love the high gloss and high contrast this floor will have against this particular color scheme.

So as the Irish Blessing goes,

May your home always be
too small to hold all your friends.

… but at least your home will have awesome color!
