Superbowl and The Man Cave

Manly yes but women like it too - Man Caves that is. 

I've written posts about the sought-after “Man Cave” before and according to my stats, remains to be on the top 10 in popularity. So back by popular demand - more of The Man Cave, the playroom for adults.

This lead me to think, if I were to have MY perfect Man Cave, what would it look like? So, without further adieu, here is what would be in it - just in time for Superbowl.

Starting off with my favorite color - green. It would be a dark, rich and very cozy green similar to what you may find in an Irish Pub. (My favorite Irish pub here in Charlotte is Connolly's on 115 E. 5th Street.) My choice for the walls would be Evergreens. My ceiling color would be Butternut both by Sherwin Williams.

It is dark? Yes. So lighting is key here. I would throw in some pendant lights, high hats and some spots all with dimmers of course. The pendants would be over the seating area in the bar.

Large LCD TV and of course a surround sound system.

As far as flooring, I would have cork in a small part of the man cave, maybe if there was a billiards table  or by the bar area but for the most part there would need to be a high quality carpeting to absorb the sound.

Oh I could go on an on with the perfect man cave design but this is such a tease. Although I do have a nice 25 x 25 size bonus room to house the ultimate man cave, I don't have an extra $10,000 to start this lovely project but one can dream right?
