Amber • The Color Palette of Fall featuring BEHR

When I think of fall, certain colors come to mind 

such as yellow, gold, orange and browns.

When I think of Amber, I think of fall. Look at the colors in these two pieces of amber. Does that not remind you of Autumn?  

Talk about an inspiration piece that will literally provide the color scheme for your entire home! What comes to mind when I see these colors? Here is how my mind would take these colors and incorporate them into your home.

COLOR:

A - CAlM AIR - This color would definitely be the foyer, hallway and laundry room color. 

B - BANANA SPLIT - Yellows make a great choice for children's room and playrooms.

C - Gold - my favorite hue! You can see it here pictured in my own living room as an accent color. Try GOLD BUFF, SAHARA SHADE  or LIGHT COPPER if you like this look.

D - ICED TEA - This is an amazing, amazing color. I've used it in my clients homes before so I've seen first hand how beautiful this color completes a room. Again, another one of my personal favs of color. This would look beautiful in a dining room, a 'man cave' bonus room or a media room.

E -CHESTNUT STALLION - As we get into the darker colors, I like to use these as accents to accentuate architectural features in a home. Tray ceilings or one wall in a bedroom are great choices for darker colors.

F -BURNISHED MAHOGANY - Still using the very dark colors as accents, this color I would use on columns. Here it's pictured on the six columns in the entryway of my home with a touch of hand painted gilding for a splash of interest.

G - This color may be too dark for any room in your home but it would make an outstanding color for your front door. Try EMBARCADERO which is a notable combination of rich red and chocolate brown.
