Sherwin Williams • a Good Coastal Run

Tradewinde and Doeskin

Over the last two months, there has been a huge Coastal flair here in Charlotte. As my color consultations progressed, it was one coastal theme after the other. It's not because I like the calming colors of beach glass and but it's what my clients are asking for.

Waterscape and Trusty Tan

Thanks to Maya of Daily Vitamin Sea, my blogs posts are more beautiful then ever! I love the way she captures the coastal charm in her photography. The closeups, the color and the inspiration of the coast, thank you Maya!

Without the amazing color palette of Sherwin Williams, most of my color consultations would not be possible. I can choose any paint brand that will fit into the color scheme of my clients but they are asking for Sherwin Williams. Great quality paint and the colors are just the best. They have brights, lights, darks, neutrals, muted neutrals and every tone, tint and shade in between. Did I cover it all?

So if you are thinking about a new, crisp, clean color scheme for your home. Feast your eyes on some of these colors.

Coastal Plain and Realist Beige

The colors of the coast are particularly beautiful when you have a large home with an open floor plan. This type of house is what I specialize in choosing colors for and makes up a large percent of the south Charlotte area. The way these soft, muted colors flow endless from one room to another is amazing. The best thing about these coastal colors is that most of your decor will match with this new color scheme. For the most part, they are neutrals, complex neutrals with a touch of color for interest.

Some coastal colors do have more of a punch of color but still hold the beautiful, relaxing color palette that Mother Nature provided for us.

  4. The great thing about paint these days are those little sample jars with just enough paint to give one a real good idea of what the final result will be. Color is a stimulant and relaxer, an emotion evoking experience that lasts only as long as you want it to, then try something different... voila! Suddenly you have a "new" room!
