Pretty as a Pin Up

Caramel Ice • Two to Tango • Blue Danube

Sometimes what's old is new again. Whether it's clothes, style, fashion, or color schemes, what was once considered old fashioned now becomes the "new".

You'll see some swimsuits that have the look from the 1940's.

From the glitz and glamour of Lauren Becall to Rita Hayworth. I don't think the hair styles will make a come back anytime soon or the shoulder pads (it really didn't work in the 80's) but certainly some of the clothing trends can be spotted in stores.

What about for your home? Like the look? How can you incorporate this retro look of the 1040's into your home? Think back to some of the colors your grandparents had in their home. Do you remember seeing any of these colors?

Your paint scheme would be very close to this palette.

Customize your home color scheme with a 40's flair.
Grab the retro colors but modernize the decor.
Here's what you can do.

You may not want to paint your room completely red but you can certainly have red as an accent color for any of these rooms. Make your home pretty as a pin up!

  3. I actually love all those colors....I use a lot of them today. And I would not mind one of those hairstyles actually.

  4. I had a color consult today and I dressed like a Pin Up girl - just the color scheme really. After I was dressed I looked at myself in the mirror and wondered what looked so familiar. My blouse was very close to the Two to Tango and my crops were Blue Danube. I was pretty as a Pin Up!
