The Best 4 Colors You Can Put In Your Home

We all know that blue is the #1 color to have in the home. We also know that Sherwin-Williams paint is pretty darn popular. Put the two together and what do you have? The most sought after colors for the home. Let's talk about them.

SEA SALT.  This color is a no brainer. We either all have Sea Salt SW 6205 in our home, have a friend or family member who has this color in their home or is about to get this color for their home. It's usually seen in the bathroom but at this point, I've seen this color in just about every room in the home. If you like blue, this is a nice, really soft option to try.

MEDITATIVE. Need a little more blue in your home? Meditative SW 6227 is the hue for you! It's a great color choice for the Master Bedroom because we all know that blue is the guys favorite color and it really goes with just about anything that you put in the room.

SENSIBLE HUE. Gray is still a popular color and it's not going away anytime soon. It's also replaced the beige in the home so boring beige, you're out. Gray, you're still looking good. Sensible Hue SW 6198 has a nice yellow undertone so it'll just warm up any space in your home without going beige.

CLARY SAGE.  Hello green! Green is a hard color for people to like in the home but let's get this earthy color back in the home.  Clary Sage SW 6178 is a great mix between a sage green and mint. It's a little of both which makes it so likable. Gone are the days of Pea Green and thank goodness for that!

So, what have we learned?

None of these colors will come to anyone as a surprise. If you look at the forums, other Designer's pages, colors in the stores, Google, Houzz or Pinterest, these will show up. The only problem is, just because these are some of the most popular colors to have in the home doesn't mean that they will be good for YOUR home.

Lighting and decor is key to ensure that these colors will be the perfect fit for you. You may have a floor tile or back splash that has a very yellow undertone therefore, most of these colors will not be an option for you.

You may have a home that has a lot of natural light and therefore, these blues will look washed out. Not enough light in your home and I can guarantee that these colors will turn to mud.

Don't experiment with color. Just because a Color Expert as myself, tells you what some of the most popular colors for the average home are doesn't mean that you should use them or that they will be right for your home.
