There's A New Sheriff in Town So Beige, Move On!

If you know me at all you know that I rage about beige all the time. Beige as we know is the “go to neutral” for a home. It's the hue we use to neutralize the home for staging. It's the hue we use in the foyer because it connects with the rest of the home. It's the hue we use because it just goes with everything else in our home. It's also the hue we use because we just don't know what our other options are. STOP USING BEIGE!!! There's a new Sheriff in town and he's classy,  sophisticated and very well like, he's Gray.

Gray has been around for a really long time already. It's really saturated the market at this point. The Designers have been tweeting, blogging, posting, Intstagraming and ranting about gray for eons now but there's a reason for that.

People are really turning toward color in 2014. I mean look at what's coming in a as “Color of the Year”. We have Radiant Orchid by Pantone which works well for fashion but is a tough sell for the home.

We have Exclusive Plum by Sherwin-Williams which works well for fashion and home decor - that's a winner right there!

And gray has such a presence in the home and really has become the newest member of the home and is not leaving anytime soon.

You can use gray as an anchor in your home with an area rug. This beauty is from Rug and Home. A gray rug is really a great investment because in the long run, no matter what color you put on your walls, gray will be the perfect partner.
