I just started a Pinterest board you all might be interested in seeing. On this blog, A Color Specialist in Charlotte and my main blog Decorating by Donna, I talk about color - a lot!!! However, to balance out conversations you have or should have a balance of positive and negative.
In my Pinterest board named cleverly enough, BEIGE RAGE, COLOR RAGE you'll read some snip-its about the colors that are not my favorites and I tell you why.
I also invited Color Guru Lori Sawaya to pin and she shares the same views when it comes to honesty about color; the good, bad and ugly. You can read about her color views and expertise on The Land Of Color .
So in it's infancy for now, here's Beige Rage, Color Rage. Bookmark it because it's going to get interesting and you'll be reading things about color you probably wouldn't be reading anywhere else.
My sister and my room was pink. We hated it. My brother's room was blue. Predictable. Parents had a lovely pale violet on their walls. I've lived in rentals for a long time. Beige gives you a chance to change decor w/o painting. I've even picked up things for seasons, holidays. Beige makes it easier. My fav color is blue, but until I find a good deal on sheets to staple to the walls it'll be beige.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link and mention, Donna. Yep, I clicked into your Pin Board. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteColor is not one size fits all and some stuff works in certain context and some stuff just doesn't. I think it helps to provide a clear perspective. Not everyone will agree with everyone else (that's a given) but it creates benchmarks for comparison and discussion; which is really the only way you get anywhere with color.
