What colors go with gray?

There are so many grays from warm grays similar to the ones shown in this Pinterest photo to the darker shark grays - it really depends on which gray you're using. Let's say you're using the light, warmer grays that are trending now.

This would be the typical look you'd expect to find when you're trying to find colors that go with gray but what if you're looking for something different and unique?
Purple and brown are two colors that you may not typically associate with gray but keep in mind, gray is a neutral so it'll go with just about any color - just watch your undertones.
