A shell lamp is the last thing I would expect to see in this house but it works! It brings in added texture and a multi level visual to a small night stand by the bed. The scalloped doily and the books add that extra homey feeling you'd want to see in any guest room.
This is the picture that got me - hook line and sinker - an old English Pub room. Look at what Debbie has on the ceiling. Yes those are tin ceiling tiles. This is one thing I always wanted to do to my 1926 Pittsburgh home but never had the chance too. My heart melted when I saw this picture. Actually, I have a theme room that these tin tiles would look perfect in! I'm doing it!
With poppies on the table and a table runner placed in an atypical way (I prefer table runners placed this way. It shortens the length of a rectangular table) this cozy kitchen table is a great place to start your day.
The reason I like this beautiful home in Tega Cay, SC is the way Debbie has it decorated of course. I've been in homes that are decorated like models and are amazingly beautiful but lack warmth, coziness and the personal touch that a real decorator can capture. It's actually very much like my own home, similar in colors and the personal touches she places throughout maybe that's why I am drawn to this home. I think I'll take a drive to SC and check it out for myself but if you'd like to see more of Debbie's beautiful home and creative blog, go to Debbiedoos and feast your eyes!
