Why do these pictures look pretty?
hint: Blue and Orange
hint: red and green
hint: purple and yellow
These pictures are objects taken right from nature. They look good because they consist of complimentary colors. They "compliment” each other. If you find these colors in nature, you can't go wrong. Try them in your home in different shades, tone and hues! Use the full color for an accent. Mix and match!
Hi, thank you for adding yourself as a follower on my blog. How nice to find a color specialist. I may need to ask you a question sometime about what color to use on my built-ins in my great room if I decide to paint them.

ReplyDeleteOk Donna this is getting weird because not only do we have the same taste, I live 20 minutes from Charlotte NC, and color is my thing...at least that is what people tell me, and I have helped picked people's interior colors for years now. I have ventured and dabbled in interior design, but never made it a career, more of a hobby and fun thing for me!!~ You do an awesome job!~ I appreciate you finding my blog and look forward to coming over to yours to see what you come up with to inspire me!!~:) Debbie

I was looking around to see what blogs I can find that are local to Charlotte and I came across yours - being a Color Specialist, I LOVE your blog colors. Please send your NC blog friends over to me. I would prefer to follow blogs in this area - I also want to check out all the great colors and decor they have : )

hi donna! thanks for stopping by! i'm from long island too...manhasset and garden city....we moved here from boston because it felt so much like home...just seeing long island made me comfortable here! i love color and only use or wear colors i love....my husband is very flexible. thank goodness. we have lots of fun...life's full of surpriseds for him...because i'm always painting walls or wicker or furniture...i love shabby chic...i wish you were nearby so i could have you check it out and get your opinion! i wish you well in your biz down there! i'm going to follow you so that i can keep popping back to see your colors. i can feel colors right down to my soul! great blog!
